Mental Health Counselors will grow in demand as high stress environments take a greater toll on people. Poor mental health is known to have detrimental effects for physical well being. As a result, seeking therapy has become more customary to the public.

Mental health counselors practice in a variety of settings, including independent practice, community agencies, managed behavioral health care organizations, integrated delivery systems, hospitals, employee assistance programs, and substance abuse treatment centers. Counselors work with a variety of clients in group and individual sessions. Counselors maintain confidential detailed records of each client from which they develop ways to treat or help their patients cope. They help their patients develop skills and strategies to help them live better lives.
